Shri Yunus Hussain Khan was a leading Hindustani classical vocialist of the Agra gharana was trained rigorously by his illustrious father, the late Ut. Vilayat Hussain Khan, whose contribution to music is monumental. With rich voice and superb musicianship, he sang Agra gharana gayaki in his own individuality. He wass one of the very few musicians with the authority and stature to the established innumerable composition under the nom-de-plume "Darpan" and several ragas in the repertoire.

Born in 1924 in Dharwad,Shivaputra Siddramayya Kamkali-Pt Kumar Gandharva, revealed prodigious talents even as a child. He gave his first public performance at the age of 10 years. Later he was groomed by Prof B R Deodhar. His uncanny sense of musicianship found expression through experimenation. Undoubtedly Padma vibhushan Pt. Kumar was highest creative genious of the last century.

Pt. Omkarnath Thakur-Mai nahi makhan khayo (Bhajan)-20 minutes.mp3
Pt Omkarnath was born in Jahaaj-then baroda state. He was trained by legendary Pt. Vishnu Digambar Paluskar. He also toured Europe and gave many performances. He was appointed the dean of music faculty at Benaras Hindu University (BHU) in 1950. He served in that position till his retirement in 1957. After long illness Pt Omkarnath died in 1967. He will be remembered for sheer perseverence through which he made it to the very top of hindustani music.

Padmavati Shaligram-Piloo thumri.mp3
Born in 1918 in Kolhapur, Padmavati Shaligram is one of the senior most vocalists of Hindustani music. She was groomed in the Jaipur – Atrauli tradition by her father and uncle who were students of the legendary Alladiya Khan, the founder of the gharana. She has been performing in public since she was thirteen even today at the age of 86. Endless taan patterns at an electrifying speed used to be her forte in her prime.

My mother Smt.Sarita Bhave is a disciple of Pt.Kogjeji...
one thing to convey u regarding your text inputs  about him...that he is disciple of Sushri.Rasoolanbaiji for thumari ...not Sushri Siddeshwarideviji....
