Vanguardia de la Ciencia is a Spanish science radio show and
podcast, transmitted by Radio Exterior de España, which is
part of Radio Nacional de España. It was created and
presented by Ángel Rodríguez Lozano, and has been
on the air since April, 1995. Vanguardia de la Ciencia is, IMHO, the
best science podcast available in any language that I can understand.
It is also an excellent resource for learning Spanish if you also are
interested in science, because familiarity with the subject matter
greatly helps understanding. Unfortunately, the program was
discontinued as of June 2007. However, Radio Nacional de
España has generously permitted that the program be
publically redistributed, as long as the source is clearly stated. I
have therefore uploaded these podcasts, which are no longer available
on Radio Nacional's web site.
Each file is an mp3 file within
a zip-file. I zipped the files in order to
facilitate downloading, because eSnips otherwise only would have opened
the mp3 file, and disallowed downloading.
