Les Copains is ontstaan nadat ik kennis nam van vrind Jacques uit Luik Belgié, dat hij er kinderen met kanker onder zijn hoede nam. Dit bijzondere vriendenclubje (Les Copains) inspireerde mij tot het spelen van deze melodie. Vrienden die dit hoorden wilden het ook spelen. Maar ik lees geen muziek, speel op gehoor. Een eigen poging om het vast te leggen op papier m.b.v. een computerprogramma was niet zeer geslaagd. Margriet nam het stuk graag onderhanden en maakte er deze fraaie PDF versie van.
 
Hiervoor mijn hartelijke en oprechte dank Margriet.

Les Copains is a melody wich I played after I heard about friend Jacques from Liège Belgium who is caring for childeren with cancer. He and his little friends (The Copains) inpired me. Other friends like to play this peace too. But as I play by
ear and as I can't read music there was a problem. I did put the music on paper with help of a computer program but
this was not very good. Margriet was very helpfull and she did put the music on (PDF) paper with pleasure.
