These skins( the colors that make up the outside of 3D game items)are some of the skins I made a while back for gore. I was playing with photo edit software.
They are custom made and not official skins. They are not necessarily accepted by the players of this game, or the maker of the game. One reason they were made was to inspire others to make their own, to add to the stuff available for the game. I felt some were good enough to make available to others. Some are minor mods to the stock ones,so should not scare anybody.
All were made with free downloads of Xnview, and The Gimp,(similar to photoshop) and no 3D design software. Instructions are here to tell where these go in the game.
There are a few screenshot pictures to show what the skins look like on a player model.
Most of the screenshots were taken for my use,to see if a skin worked well enough on a model. They were not taken to shout "hey look at my skins everybody" as some may think.I have quite a few more, including female skins, and may post them here randomly.Single skin files are here ,and zip files with batches of skins.I do not have screenshotsof all the models,as I never installed a lot of the skins and took any.I knew many of the skins would work, after I got templates working.
These skins may not be available long, as I bore easily, and move on to new projects.

Player skins in screenshots may not be online anywhere.
The ones available will be mostly in the zip files, for download.
I made the assassin and scout skins, and umc-vip to be interchangeable, except
umc would use green clothing and boots.
For the hplayer model, I wanted to have an alternative skin to the stock
dark skin model. Other models I made a dark skin alternative when there was only a light color model. Then I got carried away. As stated, most were done in 2005-2006.
Credit goes to Gore Ultimate Soldier makers, including Joel Huenink and 4d Rulers, for original model templates and meshes
Anything I modified, for better or worse, was done by standing on the shoulders of giants (at the risk of sounding sappy.)

The default game folder for the model called hplayer files is:
C:\Program Files\Gore\Models\Players\hplayer
On 4-7-08 I added 2 new zip files for this player model. They will unzip as the usable
mod game skins, and the stock game skins in a seperate zip file.I thought about making self extracting zips, but esnips will not allow exe files. Also,it is better to copy and paste the files one folder at a time.Instructions in zips. The idividual bitmap pics here are the actual game files also,if you go to the game folder, and put these there, and rename them to the stock name.I usually first rename the stock file to something like hplayer_body.dmt.bmp,then later I can just cut the .dmt off the end,and it is back to stock.
