When will I See You Again In the beginning ther was no music -only silence-which created the space for sounds to be. Then there was conciousness that became aware of the sound. Then there was thought whitch remembered the souns and putted them into time/ Then there was the ego that discovered the patterns into thought and started to experience with these patterns Music was born
Then many years later I was born and became aware of the music and wanted to be in the music. I listened for a long time and at the age of 16 I seriously started playing my own guitar. A beautifull eko. Because I never took the time to learn the language of music I couldn't write down the songs I composed. But by playing them a lot the were captured inside me forever. I composed over a 200 tunes now.
Offcourse my first song wasn't a masterpeace but it was a start. a very early song of me is Winter which was very mellangolic song about sollitude. In those days I got out of school and rushed home to sit down with my good friend Paul, now doing photografic art, to play our music. I had a akai casettedeck and 2 AKG microphones. It was a 1 take recorded track. We did over 60 of them in the years, spontaneously and full of joy winter
Years later I was founder of a band named GRAHAM. the name came out of the innitials of the members. We had gigs in the Netherlands and got on tour in Ireland. which was a highlight. In my lyrics I got more worldoriëntated and made a lot of anti war songs. one of them I sent to Neil Young's Living With War site. It is there in the charts somewhere now. The song is called DependingonOil .It came from our first studio demo with we recorded at Pink Noise studio in Eindhoven.
Later we did a gig in the "Le Chateau" studio in Tilburg where we played live but it was recorded on an 16 track analogue recorder. It will come to you in time . I really love the passion and power that is in this track. specially the vocals of Judith and my guitar are very strong. Starting a band is not easy, but keeping a band together is a different story. Everybody has it's own hidden agenda and when the band asks more involvement it gets to hard and people leave and get replaced. This is why the band broke up and was reformed and called Hippocrite Hippies. René schlijper a great friend who joined the GRAHAM from the beginning was also member of the Hippies. It was his willpower that resulted in the album Rulers Today. from witch Stay Your Way is a track I wrote. After the Hippies broke up I wrote a lot of material. recorded on 4 track and with friends. one example is Düsseldorf. I wrote one a rainy afternoon while my girlfriend was out shopping there. It was a re-discovery of the silence/ space in which everything takes place. Recorded on tascam 4 track with an other good old friend "Bad Ted". who does the vocal part. Düsseldorf
Nowadays I do stuff like brainwave music and create meditationfiles which is an other part of music or sound. as we are all energy we all have our frequency. and because everything is involved in everything listening ro surtain frequencies can make you happy or restless or ever angry. Find your frequentcy and you'll find your heaven!
And offcourse I stil play my guitarWhen will I See You Again
