You have a excellent voice, play a mean guitar, write good songs and have that rock and roll heart.  So go ahead and find a band to play with.  I did about 12 years ago and never looked back.  I write a lot of songs too and recently our band (The Hills Brothers) recorded a CD with some of them on it in a professional studio.  What a treat.  My tunes that are currently on esnips are a lot like yours, recorded by myself in my living room.  There is a world of difference in the sound of the studio recordings and my humble at home efforts.  Anyway good luck and "never give up".
