Bengali Literature has a much wider horizon beyond the immediately visible one—with this philosophy in mind, Boipara.com started its journey in 2002. The aim was to create an online platform for alternative Bengali literature. For the last five years, it has been constantly providing its readers with free Bengali e-books, thereby keeping them up-to-date with the most recent developments in Bengali literature. E-Books include anthologies of Bengali Poetry, Collection of Essays, and selections from a number of Bengali Little Magazines. Many of these books are rare and out-of-print, and, therefore, unavailable otherwise.
Boipara.com is probably the first online archive of Bengali literature Bengali E-books and Little magazines, completely dedicated to experimental and avant-garde writings. Boipara.com is proud to announce that till date, it has published around 26 e-books by eminent as well as young and promising Bengali authors. It has published anthologies of Bengali poetry by renowned poets like, Binay Majumdar, Utpalkumar Basu, Kamal Chakraborty and Barin Ghoshal. At the same time, it has encouraged and helped hitherto unknown but talented authors to get their works published. In the Little Magazines Archive, you will find some fine examples of contemporary Bengali writings culled from various little magazines, which are unduly overshadowed by bigger establishments.
Overall, Boipara.com is not just another website for popular Bengali Literature. Rather, it is a mission to promote and support the spirit of experimentalism in Bengali poetry and prose. It is, after all, the story of a dream coming true.
