For investors in sustainable communities
Posted on Oct. 30 2007

Every Eco-city has a central HUB for:

  1. ideas incubation
  2. design and IT support
  3. Social Entrepreneurs: flexible workspace, "hotdesking" and community
  4. the support of entrepreneurs and organisations making the transition to sustainable business

Each Hub has the option to support Zen Cafes in local neighbourhoods.

Every Zen Cafe is based on the principles of www.theworldcafe.com for the freeflow of ideas and opportunity for collaboration.

The FreeFLOW ethos provides mutual benefit for those who subscribe to the values of People and Planet.

Each Zen Cafe proprietor has the option to train with World Food Cafe in Covent Garden, London and to work with SOL Community to set up your own local food and drink co-ops.

Each Zen Cafe supports:

  1. Transition Culture - see: www.transitionculture.org
  2. Food and Drink co-ops - see Cafe Society
  3. Drama, story-telling, Creative Workshops and re-skilling
  4. Eco-learning, mentoring, human-scale education, language learning and corporate education
  5. EFL, project management, leadership orientation and 1-1 coaching
  6. Community (local, physical and online) for those who want to study and train, in order to work towards financial independence and work-life balance
  7. Each Zen Cafe provides a community of people, skills and resources to attract inward investment
  8. Each Zen Cafe serves as a bridge between communities of interest locally, regionally and world-wide
  9. Each Zen Cafe supports the FreeFLOW of ideas, ethical products and "green" services delivered for the education, enjoyment and benefit of local community, subscribing members and their guests, friends and family.
