RedTulips.jpg
Painted from in a watercolor art class. Instructor suggested I begin painting without any preliminary drawing. Rich, lush reds straight to the white paper! My background wass too bright, so I used a thin guash to tone it down.

CowShower.jpg
Poured watercolors. Primary water colors poured over the paper and controlled by holding the paper at differnt angles. Some masking fluid was used for the white patches. Firat time I ever tried the "pouring" technique.

Mother&ChildYellow.jpg
Tempera mask, india ink, watercolor,, etc. Inspiration for this was a "demo" from an artist who used tempea paint over her original art. When it dried, she coated the whole painting with India ink. When that dried, she soaked the art in water to lift the tempera paint and the ink on top of it. Where there was no tempera, the ink remained. Sounds complicated, but it isn't. I tried it on this and a few others.

ThinkingCow.jpg
Created by pouring water color paint over masked areas. I used primary colors and let them dry between "pourings." At some point I sketched in a cow, and then used masking fluid over parts of the cow to suggest the spots. This painting was on display at the Hunterdon County Justice center for a while and I noticed that they uploaded it to the web. It is now back in my possession. Details [post & barbed wire] were added with a fine brush.

Thank you very much for the encouraging words. I started painting when I was a kid but had a very long break inbetween for about 10yrs due to studies etc and now I wish I had not stopped all those years! Well, I paint now whenever I find time and like you had mentioned, really enjoy it too.
I saw this folder of yours just now...beautiful watercolour paintings! Looking forward to seeing more of your works.
