I took this photograph from the promenade at Teignmouth. At the top right of the photo the sea meets the Teign estuary. The cliff on the left is called the Ness and is situated in the village of Shaldon.

The village of Shaldon in Devon UK is separated from Teignmouth by the Teign Estuary. My photograph shows the ferry which carries passengers from Teignmouth to Shaldon and back. There is also a road bridge but we prefer the ferry !!

The Toll House which stands at the entrance to Shaldon Bridge. It is free to drive across the bridge now but many years ago people had to pay a toll to travel over the bridge. The bridge was built in 1827.
