Spiderdlb-'its music, dick, but not as we know it'
Despite being completely unknown, Spider and Dick Le Burgh have managed to drink huge quantities of tea and smoke too many cigarettes during the composing and performing of their music. What more can be asked of them?

Spider and Dick Le Burgh have not been idle (well, not entirely) and have produced some new compositions and launched them into the benign safety of the Eleverse, from whence they shall gradually emerge here and in their own folders.

Looking for the Formula.mp3
Spurred on by encouraging friends, here it is, from 1984, with a backing track done by a one time friend of one of my sisters who has never heard this! Well, I never expected anyone would. I know his name was Marco, he made architectural models for a living, and lived in Millman Street in London...Thanks, anyway, for a very good backing track. Given some treatment in 2009.

I found this better recording of this than the one I used before (Spinning Around): here without any noise reduction, for that 'just recorded' feel! The Honourable Pepsi-Max Squirtillion reckons that Mark will like this one!

As a sincere gesture of thanks for such overwhelming support from Miss P, OS, GP, Nemo, Flux, Mr B, etc...The following story is true, only the facts have been changed to protect the guilty. (1985, with some 're-engineering' in March 2009).

Alright, it's not experimental and it's not art, but it is old, and Old Sensei challenged us to release a top 10 dance track before he did...so he still has a lot of opportunity to win! 1984/5.

That Octoberon Mood.mp3
Whitstable 1986, with a home made bass (given to me), a borrowed guitar, Troll's legengary pedal-board, an old valve amplifier, a Yamaha portasound, and two cassette recorders: now sounds like it was recorded in a cavernous live venue... with a bit of treatment in 2009!

This rediscovered 'gem' from 1984/5 is now dedicated to whoever had the ridiculous ideas of putting all these red underlines on our supposedly personal webpages: please be warned, whilst having been grateful for the opportunity thus far, I reckon most people will consider it is too high a price to pay!!

Rather better known for his eccentric use of the sticks, Dick shows considerable restraint and poise in his use of the cymbal on this track. [from Even So, mp3 version: http://www.esnips.com/web/EvenSomp3 ]

Yes, thanks to BGs spot on advice this BG'd version has now reappeared. Here, the occupants of the Troll's vegetable garden dance themselves into a stupour, with plenty of groink, slutch and foozle, but with a lot less hiss and a greater degree of clarity than in the original recording! Once again, great thanks to BG for his unswerving care and attention to detail. Did I mention splod? Bass solo recorded live through Chris R's magic box. From the 'eine kleine trollmusik 2' folder/CD.

Spinning Around - revitalised 2007.mp3
Also known as Trolling Around/Not Drowning But Raving/Clever Dick , this has emerged with some additional effects but much more like it was meant to sound! In this, the ultimate follow up to 'Not Raving but Drowning', our heroes continued to wrestle with an assortment of faulty second-hand equipment and old cassette tapes. Now it's your turn!

I have heard that it is the Number One website for all things Looping. I would have posted this over at Back Ground's, but as he is on holidays you are Esnips' No. 1 Looper right now ;)

Thank you for the comment at Mono. I'm thrilled you like it and that it was able to offer some relief for you after that lousy week.

Dear Spider,

I'm sorry to see that you are experiencing problems with this uploading/copyright malarkey. Having music, of which you are indeed the sole composer, performer and copyright holder, apparently censored on the grounds of suspected copyright issues, is downright infuriating and extremely unjust.

Shall we write to the site administrators to appraise them of this farcical situation/glitch with your work? I'm game, if you are.

Whatever, I hope you soon get a satisfactory result over this.

Best Wishes,

Dear Spider,

I've been having the same upload problem - files apparently arriving, only to be pronounced no-longer available once they have - but I eventually got round it by moving the supposedly nonexistent file back over to a private folder, then back to the intended folder.

Best Wishes and of course Thank You,

~ BG
