Langkawi is one of the must-visit islands in Malaysia. It’s so beautiful. Total land area is 47848 hectares (478.48 sq km) surrounded by 99 islands. Among those islands, only 3 islands are inhibited – Langkawi Island (65202 people), Dayang Bunting Island (501) and Tuba Island (3,894).
Early September this year (2006), my family had an opportunity to go there when my DH attended a surgical seminar at Awana Porto Malai (one of the famous hotels). We spent 5 days traveled around the beautiful island. But, I think 5 days is not enough since there are many places we haven’t gone yet. I hope one day, we can fly over there again to complete my tour.
I had chances to get few photos of some places in Langkawi. But I think it’s worth to go there and see it with your own eyes. It’s really beautiful.
