On the painting, the characters “つわもの (brave warrior)” are not explicitly written. The calligraphy was written by Ikeda Ryohachi (池田良八) who was an adjutant chief priest of the Yasukuni shrine in 1950s - 1970s(?). Thank you, Nobody san for the research
