Hitchcock Dances - Atlantic.mp3

An improvisation originally recorded during the early days of Hitchock Dances (October 2001), and presented here for the first time in a slightly edited form. The realisation was newly made in July 2007 from the original midi file, and was completed on the 13th of February 2008. Performed by a quartet of two electric pianos, acoustic guitar, and bass. Uploaded 15th February.

Hitchcock Dances - Roxanne.mp3

The capture of Roxanne by Alexander, after the defeat of Darius. Realised on the 8th of November 2007, from one of the midi instruction sets created during the sessions for 'Darius Dreaming' (2001). Music for an imaginary film - one taking the controversial view that it might have been better all round if the Persians had won.

Hitchcock Dances - Maldoror.mp3

A realisation recorded in Edinburgh on the 8th of November 2007. 'Les Chants du Maldoror' is a famous late 19th century text by the writer going by the pen-name of 'Lautremont' (Isidore Ducasse), which later inspired the surrealists. The midi instruction set used to create this piece dates from 2001.
