| A Playford tune which I used to use with the Wolsey Folk Dance Group, originally on guitar, then on accordion, so here on both. I am not sure what the 'drum'is all about but ok for archive.
Played here in Am rather than the as written Dm but easily moved. |

| Parts 2 and 1 from Norfolk across the barbed wire divide. THis was the original idea for the set which wound up as an ESMM ceilidh set. THe mix is from the old tascam so a bit of a dogs breakfast. One of those tasks which isn't worth re-doing for the archive, as is will do!
Again a bit hackneyed and Old Swan is the modern definitive version. |

| Educational version of a song very popular in the 70's when my musical taste ossified, a bit maudlin and on this showing it was a day when a cup of coffe might have improved the pace. A bit of a dirge, but it is a song of sadness and of hope.
G shapes, I think on the third or fifth fret. |

| a second upload of this tune played as a rag rather than as a march with some elementary rhythm guitar on the backup. I think I must have drunk too much coffee that day, (still a failing). |

| Another nugget, (of uncompressed coal) from the 1992 Portastudio sessions. Bill twiddling on the piano in the background to this one. Some clipping in the choruses. Perhaps I'll do a posh mix at some stage but this was what I saved at the time. |

Recorded in late 90's by SGR Radio at a beer festival in Shotley in a shed full of natural reverb. Be patient, a slow burner.

| A song from the 'Penguin Book of English Folk Songs' with a magical melody. PLayed on 'C' shapes capo 4. The only other person i know who plays/played this is John Goodluck. John is alive and well and playing again as a part of the Suffolk folk community, particularly at the Steamboat Tavern sessions in Ipswich.
