I have to say that out of most of what I've heard from cali gari, Blue Film is one of their best albums. It's not only one of their first albums I heard, but the one that made me crazy about them. Their talent shows through at its best here in this album.
Kicks off with the song, "Erotopia", which has some creepy vocal work and creative tune, along with very meaningful lyrics---this is the only translation for cali gari songs that I've found so far. If you like the song, here is the link for the lyrics:

The second song "Milkshake", is another insanity-surrounded song, like "Hakkyou Channel". "Polaroid Yuugi" is another very creative song from cali gari---the guitar lines are very impressive, the flow of the song itself goes prefectly, and the vocal tune goes along with the instruments perfectly in beat. Everything in this song was very well coordinated, including some piano parts, camera sound effects to add to the 'climax' of the song. Okay, there was a fourth track, but it was too retarded to post. It was basically a doorbell ringing and some electric sound being made. First slowly, then faster. It was annoying. "-___- Alright, the next song, "Shinkuu Kairou" is a beautiful piece of what seems to be a mellow, romantic song, with Shuuji softly singing and piano backing up the other instruments. "Genshoku Elegant", like all the other songs on this album, is just difficult to give a review on...mostly because in this album, cali gari has created something so original it is hard to classify it...maybe it's my love for them that blocks my mind lol. ^_____^ "Blue Film" is the main attraction, and the music video for it is freaking awesome. XD Last song is a remix--"Shinkuu Kairou Takajun's Gravity-Free Remix"-- doesn't sound similar, but is very original and inventive song.
Anyways this album seems to me to have a jazzy feel to it. Don't know anything else that would describe the sound. Have a good time listening. ^^
