About me
That's from Tom Stoppard's excellent absurdist play Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead. Hi, I'm Elle. I'm an anthropology major at Valdosta State University. My primary interests are cultural anthropology, film studies, philosophy, and biology.

In my first semester at Valdosta State University, I enrolled in the Introduction to Anthropology course. It was one of the best decisions that I ever made. It has helped me to see, and begin to understand, the workings of American culture. It also brought clarity to some thoughts I'd been turning over in my head for years. On the first day, the professor stated that he intended to "demystify" us. Culture, he said, pulls wool over our eyes. It mystifies us, and that has proved to be a dangerous condition. Think about it. This is the concept that drives my studies, my spirituality, my writing and thought, and my activism.

A few things about me: I enjoy reading, writing, watching movies, and making art. I also play Dungeons and Dragons in my spare time. I love performing (dancing, acting, singing, in increasing order of talent and experience). I love poetry and music. I've been exploring Buddhism, (I can't quite call myself an adherent yet) and have dabbled in yoga. I support equal rights and humanitarian and environmental causes.
