About me

About my work:
My paintings all have a general theme of quiet solitude (my favorite). Being in a place devoid of the hustle and bustle of human life, but not excluding humanity altogether. I try to show a timeless place; a place that seems as if it has always been, and will always continue to be.
My current series is of places from around Japan. I have lived thus far in 3 different cities here (Kyoto, Toyohashi, and Amagasaki) and travelled to probably 20-30 different towns and cities.  My favorite places here are the small towns because they give a real sense of natural Japan.
