Japanese trains have convenient systems, just for the local people. Every train company has their own systems. So if you are stranger there, even if you were Japanese, you don't know how to do and confused in front of machines. That irritates the local busy commuters. Every train station has kind of house rule, which point you must stand waiting for the next train Grin

you know, I have been in Japan, 3 times. In our own country we could buy ourselves
a socalled Japanese Railpass and that is very convenient, you could just jump on almost
any train there in Japan without buying a ticket..only seat reservations.

I did watched the people in those trains a lot...businessmen and -women who fall asleep,
lots of youth in their school uniforms, nice old lady, with nice dresses, girls with
beautiful dresses , hair and handbags.
It is very nice to be there.
