About me
From underground press to cyber journalism. 1975-2000. A quarter-century of witnessing and practising journalism. From national and international news agencies to English and Hindi newspapers. Wrote weekly humour columns in three rival English dailies of Hyderabad under the pseudonym of Pugilist, Muneer Ahmed (a name I was given in Cyprus by my Turkish friends)and Wisekrack.  At present, I work for Business India. Prior to this, I headed the editorial team of www.ciol.com, India's first Internet portal on Information Communication Technology. I brought out an underground news bulletin, Ranbheri throughout the Emergency when the government had imposed press censorship and jailed most political workers opposed to the dictatorial rule of Mrs. Indira Gandhi. It was while bringing out the underground news bulletin that I was drawn to journalism.
If journalism was my profession, music has been my passion. I took up harmonica when I was seven year old. Learned it by myself...and still learning. The Internet has thrown open the potential of bringing together all music lovers. Your comments encourage me to refine my skill. So listen to my songs and point out the flaws, so that I can improve.

Bhaiya, plz. listen to the following track (just recorded and uploaded by Gujrati speaking esniper hansamehta2003 to honour our Bangla knowledge. The Karaoke was not very good. But still Hansa-Didi has done an wonderful job. And a lot of credit goes to "half bangla speaking Shotabdy" for her efforts to encourage Hansa-ji to record that popular song by the National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam.

Hello Nachiketa ji,

Thank you very much for your lovely comment.I am highly delighted with your appreciation.I remain so busy in my profession that I hardly find any time for my passion. I am not even able to meet my harmonica friends at Vadodara for months together.I use only late hours in the night to interact with my friends on internet. Therefore please keep in touch. This is the only way for me to contact you.

Thanks a lot once again.
