What will you really do in your first week in Alaska?
1.
Get ourselves some rucksacks, knives and mosquito repellent, and find out where we can see lots of Grisly bears at close range.
2.
Buy bicycles and go riding from Anchorage north, as far as Deadhorse.
3.
Rent a cabin in Denali park, this is the closest to nature you can get.
4.
Go on a day's rafting on the Nenana river in the Denali National Park & Preserve.
5.
Go for a ride in sleds pulled by huskies.
6.
Fly over the peak of Mount McKinley.
7.
Rent a car and drive north, along Dalton highway.
8.
Sail to Kodiak Island, where there are nearly 3,000 bears.
9.
Go kayaking in Sitka.
10.
We won't miss any of the above - that's why we came all the way to the end of the earth!

If you did have to settle for only one park or one route in Alaska, which would it be and why?
1.
Denali National Park and Preserve, of course. It's the biggest, has the most attractions, and contains the impressive Mount McKinley.
2.
Sitka Park, because of its beautiful walking trails and totem poles.
3.
Gates of the Arctic National Park, that's the most wild and godforsaken place, that's the real Alaska.
4.
Glacier Bay National Park, because of its amazing glaciers.
5.
The Chikoot Trail in Skagway; you can actually find gold there.
6.
Tracy Arm Fjord, that's the best place for kayaking.
7.
Pinnell Mountain Trail, from which you can see the midnight sun best in June.
8.
Wrangell St. Elias National Park, where you can come across the most animals.
9.
The Aleutian Islands - that's really the end of the world.
10.
No way we can restrict ourselves to only one park or route. If that's the case, we'd rather not go at all.

What will you eat in Alaska?
1.
Fish, of course. Preferably fresh salmon which we ourselves caught.
2.
Game, hunted by us, preferably reindeer.
3.
Omelets made of seagull eggs; the Eskimos claim it's a delicacy.
4.
Crabs of every type. The Alaskan ones are the biggest.
5.
Smoked meat in Eskimo restaurants. It's the most authentic.
6.
Canned Starkist tuna fish bought at the grocery. Who can afford anything else?

If you decided to live in Alaska, what occupation would you choose?
1.
Oil drilling.
2.
Gold digging/prospecting.
3.
Seal hunting.
4.
Gathering edible crabs.
5.
Whaling.

Fur trading.

Tourist guide.

Flying an Alaska mail aircraft.
9.
I'd rather just enjoy the scenery and collect unemployment.

You shouldn't live and work in Alaska at all; it should be a world nature preserve.
