I Started Spinning Records in 1983. My Influence At The Time Was The Hotmix 5, Who Was Considered To Be The Original Chicago Mixmasters. I Credit Them With Helping Me Become The Mixologist I am Today. The First Mixmaster Who Inspired Me To Start Scratching Was Farley "Funkin" Keith, Also Known AS Farley "Jackmaster Funk." My Early Work Saw Me Spinning Mostly Chicago House, Italo House Imports, And B-Boy Breaking Anthems.

I Won My First Of Many DJ Competitions in 1985. Although I've Never Considered Myself A Battle Type DJ, I Was Motivated By The Competition. I Was Able To Distinguish Myself From Other DJs By Being Known For My Diverse Musical Tastes And My Original Mixing And Scratching Techniques. I Was Inspired By DJs Such As Mix Master Ice, Joe Cooley, Jazzy Jeff, And Cash Money.

1993 Saw The Commencement Of My Mixology Graduation. I Won The B96 "Chicago Mixer Search '93" Competition. In 1996 I Opened Mixxmusic Tapes & Cd's. I Went On To Form Several DJ Crews, Including The Mixxmobb, The Relics, And The Vinylists. I Also Worked With these Aspiring Artists As A Producer. This Experience Eventually Allowed Me To Work With Several Record Companies In The Chicago Area And Beyond. I Have Also Produced A Number Of Nationally Known Mixes. Including The Bassfather, The Rayz-Up Sampler, Baddmixx 1.0 Breakz-N-Skratchez, Blendables Vols 1 & 2, Juke-Jointz Vol 1, And More.

Several Bars, Night Clubs, And Venues Throughout Chicago And Wisconsin Have Hosted My Spinning. Having Performed At Such Reputable Venues As Alumni Club, Aragon Ballroom, Bar Chicago, Bedroom, Blonde, Blue, Brick House, Carvetti's, Cherry Red, Circus, Coco Loco's, Congress Theater, Deja Vu, Dragon Room, Energy, Famous Freddie's, Joe's, La Passage, Leg Room, Medusa's, Midnight Hour, Original Mothers, One, Nitro, PM, Sharky's, SOS, Tower, VIP, Voyeur.
