I've done some illustration jobs, spent a lot of time painting with oils, i love making music and writing songs, done a bit of animation but want to do more and i like taking photos of anything that could fit in one of my photomontages..

Mattijn Photo Montage

I make photomontages, mostly magic realistic selfportraits its a lot of cut and paste and a bit of drawing. I take photos of castles, churches ,landscapes etc and turn it into new worlds. Mario bava ,Lucio Fulci and Dario Argento are some horrordirectors that i find very inspiring, games like ico and prince of persia and any kind of (surreal) painting have inspired me. And i get a lot of ideas from just daydreaming or walking in the forest;)

These songs i wrote and recorded at home, the drums were performed and recorded by Vincent in a practice shed. I sing in an intimate way mixed with a bit of screaming. My sound is my style so anything is possible. I use a 16 track recorder no computers and i like singing and playing instruments while sitting down in my comfy chair.
