Music for me is as important as oxygen to breath. I can get away with meals for a day or two but not without music. I listen to folk, semi classical and classical music but Ghazals make me bald. Besides listening, I also try my hands on singing. I love to sing songs/ghazals that I think I can do justice to. I am not a trained singer. I do it for friends and family and for my own happiness. God has gifted me with those wonderful ears that can differentiated between good and bad singing.
I have tried to sing songs and ghazals for all you out there. Hoping you get back to me with your comments. There are songs in this folder that even I am not happy about my singing, but even that doesn't stop me from posting them for you......ha ha ha ha. Hope you enjoy whatever has come out of me. Ofcourse, your suggestions are always welcomed. Though I don't know how much I can follow on those comments because of my busy schedules, I still try my best to keep them in mind, next time I get five minutes to do a song. So keep encouraging and bear with me. Thanks for all your support and comments.
Happy listening.
This is also my tribute to the ghazal maestro Ghulam Ali with love. The man behind timeless classic ghazals like "Chupke chupke..", "Hungama hai kyon barpa...", "Kal chaudhavi ki raat thi..", "Dil me ek laher si", "Dukh ki laher ne..", "Karoo na yaad magar..", and so many other unforgettable ones. Needless to say, I am an ardent fan of his. I simply love his baritone yet mellifluous voice, his way of rendering ghazals, and his mesmerizing elan. There are many well known, respected ghazal singers, but his style is unique and inimitable. Unlike many others, his singing style is not song-alike, it's not simple, it is as graceful as the this legend is. His singing grows on you, the more you listen to him, the more you like him.
This place is for all the Ghulam Ali fans. I have a hugh collection of his Ghazals which I am more than glad to share. A liitle appreciation would be great to keep me going.
Happy Listening.
