The movie was premiered on BTV, starting a trend of releasing movies in theatres and holding their TV premiers simultaneously. The movie was an instant hit among the middle and elite class in Bangladesh, and Ferdous became the new hearthrob of the nation. Songs of the movie were also very well received. |

| Faruk Mahfuj Anam, generally known simply as "James" is a Bangladeshi singer and composer. Stylishly longhaired, overwhelmingly known as the Nagar Baul, James was the pioneer of psychedelic rock in Bangladesh.
Originally a lead singer and guitarist (he was a member of the band "Feelings" and later formed the band "Nagar Baul"), he has always been respected for his solo projects. His presence in rock music has been prolonged; his influence on those of successive generations has been profound. |

| After years of alienating themselves from outlandish mainstream Bangla films, the educated urban youth headed to the movies to see Bachelor. Directed by Mostafa Sarwar Farooki, popular actors Ferdous, Shabnoor, and Opi Karim played the central characters of the film. Songs in the film, composed by ace musicians like Ayub Bachchu, SI Tutul, and Bappa Majumdar added to the attraction. The movie was released in 2004. |

The name of the band itself is a strange one. It is actually taken from a poem "Ghora" by the great naturalist Bengali poet "Jibanananda Das". The second line of the poem is:
"Moheener ghoragulo ghash khae Kartik'er jyotsna'r prantorey"
