About me

Jesus Is Born In Bethlehem -- Elisabeth Young is available now as a download worldwide, and at iTunes in three versions. The specific aim between the months of September through early December will be to promote and generate awareness of and interest in the song, to the greatest degree possible, and this will require people power. The current request is that you each listen to the song and leave a review on the site http://www.myspace.com/inbethlehem and you can watch the music video in its entirety in my Christmas Song folder

"We need food, food does not need us.
We need water, water does not need us.
We need sleep, sleep does not need us.
We need fresh air; fresh air does not need us.
We need God..."
taken from "We Exist! Why?" By Elizabeth Young.

Well, I am a very innocent sounding singer, and I play the saxophone. I also write my own songs. My music is loved by children in particular, perhaps because it is so very inoffensive; my aim being to uplift and inspire. I'm a tiny little person (maybe that's why children like me). I weigh just 6 stones, AND no, I don't have food related issues. I'm 5 feet tall and heavily into sports. I'm a published writer. My book We Exist! Why? Elizabeth Young is available worldwide online. In some quarters I am considered something of a fitness guru. I believe in inspiration and do my absolute best to share it as often as I find it. I'm currently working on a facial fitness DVD. You can buy downloads of my songs here: http://www.arkade.com/default.aspx?a=Elizabeth_Young&c=ArtistMusic

Spiritual and biblical matters
I like to study the lives of biblical people, to see how they took to obeying God in all situations; and to learn from them. I wrote and posted these to share insights.

More about me
What's your favorite book?
The Winner's Edge - Dr. Dennis Waitley. I recommend it.
Who's your favorite musician/band?
Frank Sinatra. I think perhaps because I like performing his songs.
What's your favorite movie?
Kind Hearts and Coronets (1949). The Picture of Dorian Gray (1945). Lust for Life (1956). Rebecca (1940). Life on Liberty Street (2004).
What's your favorite food or cuisine?
My brother's power-shake: Banana, mixed nuts, honey, and the secret ingredient, with water, not milk. I don't drink milk... the very idea of drinking cow juice!! Since very early childhood I've had a natural aversion to it apparently.
What's your favorite sport?
Athletics. I love running and I'm generally a competitor, so I can fully engage with the action. I used to run 800m and 1500m especially.
What country would you like to visit?
Italy.
Who is your hero (real or fictional)?
Adam Ant. He taught me that "ridicule is nothing to be scared of." He said "don't you ever lower yourself forgetting all your standards." (Prince Charming lyric). His music got me up and dancing when I was otherwise shy. Also he inspired me to take up sewing when I set out (and succeeded) to make the Prince Charming overcoat. Adam Ant inspired a lot of things about me.
What was the most significant event in your life?
May 2005: The Miracle of Istanbul, when Liverpool won the Champions' League... but most of all, October 1998: When I made the decision to live evermore by faith/inspiration. It was tough, but it is the best and most significant decision I'm likely to make. I have no regrets other than, I wish I had ventured to so live sooner. Sooner is better than later, but later is better than never.
What's the one thing you've always wanted to do?
I've always wanted to remain young, fit and active... to find the antidote for old age.
