i call myself oldsoul because, as a teenager, inbetween 2 years of religious study in Jerusalem, i ran errands for my mother. in doing so, i met the people she works with in public healthcare. Kind experienced, caring, faithful people. I was 17 or 18 at the time, and when i was gone, my mother was told, 'your son has an old soul. it's been here before.'

I understood this to mean a soul that had been in this world many times before. experienced if you will.

I shared the idea with a very good friend of mine that i met in Jerusalem, who is from New Zealand. He seemed to agree though took the words to mean a soul that has only been here once before - 2000 years ago, at a time of religious and philosophical genius and strength.

the reason i have the arrogance to take this name is that it is who i strive to be, and what i strive to do. I want my music to help people discover themselves, discover truth.
