About me

I've loved music all my life -- although I haven't made it my profession, music endures as the common thread of passion througout my life.

In February 2006, I finally got set-up for home-recording.  I've created this posting to have an opportunity to share my musical meanderings with friends, family, and, hopefully, new friends.

I'm not a writer, per se,  I play piano and guitar with Box Full of Cash, a Toronto-based Johnny Cash-inspired rocabilly tribute/revue band.

I grew up on the Rolling Stones -- originally being inspired to play country rock'n'tonk piano by the likes of Nicky Hopkins, Ian Stewart, and Billy Preston (all passed-on at this point -- doesn't bode well for me ha ha).  So, it seemed fitting that some of my first forays into the world of recording would naturally be tributes to the greatest rock'n'roll band of all time.

Thanks very much for stopping by. I hope you enjoy the tunes ....

Paul Comeau - Home Recording Projects
I began recording in 2006. Here, I've posted a number of projects which I've used as vehicles for learning about the recording process using Cubase. Using some of my favourite tunes as guidetracks, I've played all instruments and sung all parts on the songs in this folder. The magic of midi has allowed me to include drums and percussion. I've played all the keyboard parts using a Roland RD-170 keyboard and all guitar parts on my U.S. standard Strat. Hope you enjoy the music.

Hello, I am fairly new to all this, but I have been listening to your songs, and I just had to let you know that you have an amazing voice. There are lots of good singers and ones you enjoy listening too. But then their are those that have a voice that can reach out with their voice and bring you into their world. You have that type of voice. Keep sharing your gift.

HI there again :o)
I'd love to duet sometime yes, that would be great.
All the songs you hear on here are recorded with backing tracks so work alone right now. I am collaborating with a musician here on esnips though and have written songs in a duo in the past too.

Thanks for your flattering comments on my page, it definately is appreciated and thanks for listening too.. I'll be back soon to listen to more or yours and would love to try some kind of duet sometime too.
