Join the eSnips Marketplace

As an artist, designer or collector, you have already posted pictures of your creations and collections on eSnips, to share your passions with the world. Now, take your passion to the next level and allow those interested in your work to buy your products. Three quick steps are all it takes to start selling your work on eSnips.

Step 1: Turn on Marketplace features for your folders by setting up your account.

Step 2: Open a shop: create a Marketplace folder for items you’d like to sell. We recommend making this folder public so that the entire world can see your stuff. Make sure you select the “Sell it” option when setting up your folder.

Step 3: Define the products you’d like to sell. Start by uploading a picture of the item to the folder you defined as your mini-ship, and then add more info about your product. You’ll need to add your asking price, product details, and how many you have in stock. Read our advice on how to best showcase your products.

Open your shop: how to set up a Marketplace folder

In order to sell stuff, you’ll need to define the folder that contains images of your products as a Marketplace folder. This needs to be enabled for each folder independently. This way you can still keep your family photos in one folder, and your shop in a different folder. There are two ways to create a Marketplace folder:

Create a new folder and pick the “Sell it” option. This will turn on Marketplace features for all images uploaded to that folder.
Enable Marketplace features for an existing folder by clicking on the “Start selling stuff in this folder” link in that folder.

We also recommend making all your Marketplace folders Public and to tag them with relevant tags. This will make your folders accessible to anyone and easier to reach. Also, you can create as many folders as you’d like, so that you can set up a different folder for each group of items that you’d like to sell.

Create your window-front

Upload photos of your products in your Marketplace folders. In the Details or List views, you can select “Sell this Item” in addition to the other file tools. This link will take you to a page where you can fill in every bit of information you want to publish about your product, from its name to its price. We’ve put together some advice on how to best sell your products, including what information to add to the “Description” field.

Using PayPal for payment services

eSnips has decided to utilize PayPal to provide users with quick and secure payment services. PayPal enables any individual with an email address to securely, easily and quickly send and receive payments online. PayPal's service builds on the existing financial infrastructure of bank accounts and credit cards and utilizes the world's most advanced proprietary fraud prevention systems to create a safe, global, real-time payment solution. We recommend setting up at least a Premier account on PayPal. A Premier account allows you to accept all payment types at low fees. Read more about PayPal’s Premier account services.
