This article of mine is published on-line by Biblical Archaeology Review, since September 2006. It deals with an intriguing ossuary (bone chest) discovered in Jerusalem in 1941 and its probable links to the New Testament. A version also appeared in ARTIFAX (Autumn 2006) under the title "Digging Deeper: The 'Alexander Son of Simon' Ossuary. What Does It Really Say--And Mean?" My previous articles on the same topic appeared in ARTIFAX (Autumn 2002, q.v.) and BAR (July-August 2003).
