A duet for two bassoon I wrote over the course of several months. I began it with the intention of three movements, but after completing the second I was hit with writor's block. I wrote the last two movements after seeing a competition for writing original duets, so I used that as a motive to complete this work and in the process, I came up with a total of four movements. This is one of my first works to employ something resembling sonata form, but it is not ideal. They overall character was to
