| Hey Stephen, This is a good song melodically. It is very soothing and relaxing. I went to a songwriters workshop quite awhile back and one of the instructors suggested something that stuck with me. He said to avoid having two words in succession with the same consonant as it has a tendency to interfere with the tempo. He also suggested to not end and start two successive words with the letter "s" as it will give an extra sssss sound when recording. With a full on production of this, it may very well be a hit, however I don't hear it. Although I have been wrong many times I just go by what I hear. You are a very talented writer however I suspect we have a similar nature when it comes to our own songs. If we could remove the emotional element of how we hear our own work, we would be far better judges of which ones have hit potential. However sadly enough we won't ever be able to. Keep writing and doing video you get better with each attempt. |
