"Reddish" is part of Stockport in Greater
Manchester. The Oddfellows had Corresponding Secretary and Recording Secretary, equivalent
to the Freemasonic Prov Grand Secretary and Registrar or their District
equivalent, so Bro. Gregson was the Past Provincial Corresponding Secretary,
probably of the Manchester Unity, which was one party in an ancients/moderns
type disagreement in the early 1800s
