Nigeria, IFE, 31stCongress of the Historical Society of Nigeria,1986 - One of the founders of the Nigerian Historical Society was Dr.Kenneth Dike. Other pioneers were Professor Ajayi of Ibadan University, Professor Obaro Ikime, Prof. E.J.Alagoa, Prof. A.E.Afigbo. The organization has been revived by some younger colleagues after a few years of inactivity.
