The last king of Babylon was Nabonidus, who famously left his kingdom for between seven and ten years. At the end of this period Babylon fell to the Persians. Recorded live on the 11th of May at Second Solsbury Sound in Edinburgh, using Roland and Yamaha synths, and two digital delays. Uploaded on the 13th May 08.

Dick le Burgh famously left Brockdish for four weeks, and on his return found this and A Saucerful of C Shapes waiting to greet his ears, and consequently, despite all the building chaos still surrounding him he felt a renewed sense of optimism. Thanks,
Spider dlb.

From the opening moments, this is a beautiful and moving piece of music. Exceptional.

Best Wishes,
