| How right you are Karen. Like I mentioned to Guy Groves, music and lyrics are so personal that individual tastes are sometimes exclusive according to not only culture, but one's life experiences with a particular genre of tunes.. I don't care for polka for example. I love military bands, pipes and drums. One wonders the effect of redoing your song a la Sex Pistols or The Pixies to "reach" my particular demographic... I don't think the Royal Marines however would do it any favours, for me .. As for the poetress spilling her guts and publishing her innermost feelings: it goes with the job description. Poetry is probably the most difficult of all the arts, if for no other reasopn than the pre-ordained lack of universal approval. . I may not appreciate this piece, but I applaude your attempt at it, ... Wait its more than an attempt, you succeeded at producing "ART"...and I'm not generous with that term. LOL, now, having shown my hand will I ev-VER be able to give you a compliment, without it being a Mod Suck-up??? LOL |

Hahaha..Sorry for inflicting it on you Tiger. Like most things in life, we all hear and see differently. We smell differently, we taste differently, we love differently and hate differently. It's each to their own isn't it?What one person thinks is sweet another will think bitter and so on..Poetry and music are very individual and unique to the person reading, writing and listening. You either like or don't like something. If someone dislikes something it doesn't mean everyone will. Each person is entitled to their opinion. Thanks for yours. ..Thanks for your PM too. |

Dear Karen unfortunately a lot of us do know pretty well what it is all about, eh? But not everybody is able to express it in such a words. Do you have somebody in mind who is willing / able to sing this? Hugs, xxxPhilo and thank you so much for your nice letter to me.You are very talented yourself. As for poetry, ..I am afraid I can only write 1 or 2 in a year...mostly,when I do feel hurt. |

Oh Karen, this was so beautiful, I loved it. You really put your soul and heart into this. I know in order to write poetry sometimes you must be inspired, but, you can even draw upon old memories....yeah, those that never really heal. What a beautiful poem. Thank you so much for all of your advice, friendship and poems. You have really become my dearest friend Karen....always there, knowing how I feel without a word, then knowing what to say to make me feel better. You truly are an Angel Karen. God Bless and take care, this is beautiful. Love, Mary. |
