Getting rather brave taking such a classic especially with the type of voice i have i would love to have a bit of a edgy husky feel kinda what this song needs especially if its a female vocal singing it...but i am stuck with what i got hehe sooo thought what the hell just go for it....Bob dylan jeez the man is god!! crap singer crap harmonica but a genius writer!!!

Girl, this song is yours! The single guitar track, and your voice make it so personal. Most people, including me, really like to rock out on guitar while playing this song. It's an emotional song and It lends itself to many interpretations, but yours is the first one I have heard in a long time that is really different and I took notice right away. I felt the difference on your first note! As for Dylan, well, if you write and sing like that and don't become famous, you're just another loser, but if you become famous, then, you're a genius~ So it's all in the end result..Anyway, without Dylan, we probably wouldn't have had the Byrds...No Byrds..no Crosby, Stills, and Nash..and probably no Peter, Paul and Mary... no Beatles 'Norwegian Wood'....etc...Again, great job! I really like it... |

| Genise, I read what you wrote about taking a song like "Heavens door", and said you we're a bit nourvous about doing a song that's a classic like that one. Listen sweetheart, you took the song learned it and made it your own. It now has your signiture on it. and it sounded great. you didn't try to cover it like a few I could mention. Just look at Elvis, almost every song he sang was a standerd done by some one else at one time, but he reworked them and made it his own. there are always the classics like Suspicious minds or Heartbreak Hotel. but most of his tunes had been done by someone else. Don't know if you ever heard Faith Hill version of "Piece Of My Heart" from Janice Joplin. Faith changed it to a country song and it sounded good. Also, your voice is very nice to listen to and I think you have that Elvis quality by meanign of you sing a balad and it sounds Ballad and then do a different feel song and it has that feel to it. It's the diversity that made him great and can make you great also. I can't get that point across enough to enough people here in Nashvile.variety and diversity are what made Groups like the Beatles, Stones and Beachboys to name a few the music icons they will always be. Most sites I'm at have a E-mail foward back to my regular E-mail adress but this one didn't or I would have written sooner. Once again your voice is very nice and pleasent to listen to .
