This song is a rare example of a father singing under his son's music direction...yes....Late Sh.S.D.Burman da sang it beautifully in his own famous style in this 1971 classic under Late R.D.Burman da's music direction. Used as signature song of the movie during titles, this folk tuned number is my favourite since long...now I could get the track and have tried my best to follow the senior Burmanda's typical tone...whether I could succeed a bit (impossible fully) is for you to judge...

| As a cover version, you've done a great job in replicating the mood and atmosphere of the original. Enjoyed the brilliance of the mix too! Singing was v. good as usual, but also, as most often, high notes were, either not fully attempted, or attained. Thode aur modulations ki zaroorat thi kuch kuch jagahon pe. But these few shortcomings are too trivial compared to the overall quality of your rendition. Enjoyed it! |
