The Calling is a rock band from Los Angeles, California formed by Alex Band (vocals) and Aaron Kamin (guitar). Their first album, Camino Palmero, was issued in July 2001 and quickly became a hit, due to the strength of its single, "Wherever You Will Go," first featured prominently at the end of the second episode in the first season of the television series, Smallville, Metamorphosis. "Wherever You Will Go" reached #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #1 on the Adult Top 40 chart.
